70th Anniversary of the First Flight of the Douglas DC-3

For Sale: Douglas DC-3 of ERA Aviation, seen at Stead, Nevada, Winter, 2004, after FAA Rules Changes required modifications to all Commercial Airliner cockpit doors to block unwanted entry after the events of 9/11. The DC-3 found itself retired from Commercial Airline Service by something no other aircraft could do...cause its replacement in an airline fleet. The modifications proved to costly to keep the DC-3 flying in Airline Service.
